Atlantis Is Calling

Just came back from airport.

Sent Karinna to airport. Her flight will be taking off in another 20mins.
Departure from T3, and got a little lost at the carpark there.

Not so bad lah, manageable.

So my wife will be gone for 2 weeks!
Free man! Ho ho! Free man! Ho ho!

How? Like that no one nag at my ears, not used to it.

She'll be at Atlanta to have some kinda of 'orientation' for new staff, and then extending another 5 days or so in New York. After that then fly back to Singapore.
By then, her arrival date is around 27 July! Next Sunday, and early in the morning.

Ohhh. Atlanta and Atlantis, what's the diff? Who cares?

Sleep

Went to customer site in the morning.
A little groggy, coz' took the syrup for cough, which can cause drowsiness type.

Anyway, was there to check on some things, and then after lunch, decided that I cannot take it anymore, went home and sleep.

Slept for a cool 3 hours!
Maybe too much sleep is no good too, still have the sickly feeling.

Now my throat is better, the phlegm can more or less be spitted out easier.
The nose is still running in front of me, but not as bad as yesterday.

Tomorrow shall be an OK day! :)

No more MC!

Sick

Ahhh. I am sick! Just went to do doctor earlier, and came back with the above.

A bit blur, but it's a MC for a day tomorrow.
Wonder if I really need it or not. hehehe

Actually, my throat had been pestering me since last week. It didn't get better while at KL over the weekend.

It got a little worse yesterday, and still not good enough today.

Itchy throat, phlegms stucked at throat and hard to come out, and a little bit of running nose.

Had been taking anti-histamine since Sunday.

Anyway, it's not a big problem lah, just normal cold. Should be fine after a few days. :)

Work? Hmmmmm.

Dog Tired

I'm so dog tired!
Dog Nine Nine is tired!

Finally back from the 1-Day KL Trip. Terrible traffic jam at the causeway, took almost 3 hrs just to pass thru to SIngapore.

We left our home on Saturday morning around 6am. Went to pick the Pohs-nieces, then the Teo-niece. The morning jam wasn't that bad, was slower at Singapore side, but a breeze at Malaysia immigration.
By the time reach KL, it was about 1pm or so already. Tiring journey! See?

Then I brought them to the Chinatown there. Everytime we go KL Chinatown, always go to that particular shop to eat Wan Ton Mee.
Then the princesses complain too hot, so change venue, and bring them to KLCC.

I was actually very tired already, so I let the princesses go walk around themselves, and told them to be back at gathering point around 6.30pm.
Karinna and myself also walked a while, but not for long, before we decide to go outside and sit.
Actually, I even fell asleep in the mall on some rest-seats.
While we were seating outside, I took this picture of the Twin Tower. I've never taken a picture of that before, from what I remember.

At 6pm, the fountain started shooting water off. There were lots of people enjoying taking picture at that time. I had to wait for some opaque people to clear off from my view before I took this:

As usual, the princesses were not on time. tsk tsk tsk.

They appeared slightly later, then that Brenda complained leg pain lah, too tired lah, backside itchy lah, and blahblahblah. So went back hotel. Squeeze 5 of us into a touting cab that costed RM20! Kinda expensive actually, but paying for train rides would probably cost me RM14 as well, so just a little more to reduce time spent, and to rest legs; and I was tired!

So went back our Legend Hotel, but headed to the Mall besides it. Not much of shopping place there, so just took a quick dinner, and we went back to hotel and rest for the day. By the time unpack stuff and shower, also about 10pm already. Think I slept around 11pm that day.

Morning woke up around 8am. My hair was spiked. Needed to wet my hair then comb it into proper shape. :D
Was still very tired, but had to give my nieces morning call to go for breakfast.

Late or not? Sigh.
Anyway, breakfast was so-so, nothing really nice, but had to pay for extra voucher, because I only had 4 vouchers for this trip. But ok lah, my nieces CAN EAT!

Then we went back to our hotel room to rest, while they went 'swimming'. Why 'swimming'? Because they cannot really swim. Play water more like it. Push the wall and let themselves float for a while, happy already, stand and walk towards the wall and push themselves again. Cartoon.
Otherwise, hop themselves in the water along some partition float that differentiates between shallow and deep ground. Cartoon too!

We checked out at 1pm, then drove to Lot10. Do some bit of last minute shopping, and some late lunch before heading back to Singapore.

Was lost when heading up the expressway actually. Took a wrong turn and went to KLIA!
Was then advised to turn out, but headed another wrong direction that says "IPOH"!

Lucky for my brilliant wife, we made U-Turn, and headed towards right direction, and blasted our way back home.
Still, it is tirig, as shown:

Reach Johor checkpoint area around 1930hrs actually, but the mighty jam made it possible for us to reach Singapore only around 10pm. How exciting.
What to do? Missed the exit that goes towards Tuas 2nd link.

Since all no dinner yet, brought them to Jalan Kayu to have dinner-supper. After that then slowly send them back to their parents.
Eat paper prata. Funny stuff. :)

Tired but cannot sleep, coz my hair not dry yet. Thus, finish up this blog before I become lazy again.

Think I shall not buy any more vouchers for KL hotels. :D

KL?

These few days, news on Anwar's case has been pretty hot.

Furthermore, at such a time, majority of people all over the world cannot believe the truthfulness of the allegation.

For me, I'm going KL this coming Saturday, bring a few of my nieces there as well. Thus, the situation there is going to play an important part in the game plan.

Dangerous? Hmmm. From what I gather from some people, maybe not as bad as what I thought.
Traffic jam? Very likely as there's supposed to be a demonstration going on this weekend.
Sigh.

What a good timing huh?

Hopefully the travel there is smooth, plus I don't get lost on my way.
And if situation is not so good, have to restrict movement around the city.

Will have to see.

I have to give my nieces back to their parents you know. :D

Triaton

Today had lunch at Outram Park Bak Kut Teh near my old office at PSA there.

My ex-boss, Josef, came from Germany for holiday here, so my ex-colleagues arranged a lunch session with him, and then I was there!

Josef is still pretty much the same. Looks happy, must be his holiday mood.
He likes Asia, but after HP bought over our ex-company Triaton, guess his better option would be to go back Germany to work.

As expected, it would be just the few of us there. Winston, PuiKwan, Adrian and Joshua turned up for the lunch. Other than PuiKwan, there other 3 I still get to meet them here and there.
Afterall, my current company Hypercube works quite closely with HP on some of the projects that we do.

As usual, just some catching up with Josef and the rest. I think we were there almost 2 hours before going off.

Since he still has a home in KL, he is sure bound to come back Asia for holiday almost every 1 year or 2.

Other than PuiKwan and me, the rest are still with HP.
PuiKwan lost weight. Looks skinny already, like not enough food like that.

At the end of the lunch, and bidding all farewell, I remembered I forgot to take pictures.
It'll be another year or so before we'll meet Josef here again.

European Champion

I'm not a soccer fan.

Spain is the winner of European Cup.
I'm not their support either, and not support of Germany even!

But I sort of pity Germany.
They had been very consistently getting into final in quite a number of major tournaments, and had been losing in the final for the last few times.

Better luck next time.
