Kickery Baby

Today went for the gynae appointment again.

It's the 35th week this week, so my little boy is almost ready to see the world.
Doctor says he's 2.9kg today, still a little oversized than normal.
Other than that, everything is perfect, and baby is growing very well.



And he's moving a lot, so the mommy says.
Kicking around in mommy's womb quite a bit.
Nah, he's not taking my genes on that. I don't play soccer.
Don't even watch soccer actually. hahaha

Of course, when mommy is eating, he feels damn excited. Sometimes probably do somersault when he feels food coming down to him. Yum yum!
Maybe that's why he's a little oversized. :D

And he likes music. Well, may be not all kinds of music, but he dances to Bach's classics, and some of the songs play on radio.
I'll get him to listen to the POP 80s! Then he can dance all night away.
Not so good idea, mommy needs to sleep too.

Few weeks more to go.
We're excited, and yet gan jiong for his arrival.
We'll be right here waiting ... :)

Moses

Today, a new member joined our Tay Family.
His name is now Moses.

Didn't intend to go and see him today, since I was supposed to have a dinner date with an old friend.
That dinner was last minute cancelled.
It's hard to get old friends together actually, but still try.
Anyway, decided to postpone a little, to see if can manage to get more people the next time round.

Since no dinner, went to pick Karinna. She was at United Square, which is a short distance away from TMC.
Thus, we decided to drop by today to visit the little boy and his parents.

He's 3.02kg heavy, 49cm long, born at 0937hrs on 22 Jan 2010.

Bus

Morning went to customer's site to continue the last bit of installation for the Production system.
By the time the things were completed, was already about noon time.

Decided not to work too long today. Been spending too much time already on that. Weekends should be kept minimal for work. :D

Today didn't have my car. Karinna needed the car to go for her massage.
Fine.

I rely on my own 'kar' then.
此kar非彼car.

So I took a bus along Xi Lin Road. The frequency for Bus 35 is pretty low, about 25mins during off peak hours. D'uh!

Took to Bedok, had my quick lunch, then took the bus to check out my dad.
DAMN LONG never take Bus 225 already. Taking that bus somehow made me feel like back to school days. hahahaha
Ever since we shifted from Bedok to Tampines, Bus 225 is history to me.
For a period of time, my parents were not staying at the Bedok old house anyway, so no chance to appear back here too.

Still the same route, not much change for that.
Now I'm at the old house. Dad is somewhere watching TV.
While waiting for Karinna and my car, I just sit around loiter for a while.

Sleeping Beauty

Have you heard Sleeping Beauty story?

Well, guess most of us would have, and probably had forgotten too.
At least, I don't quite remember.

Needed to bring my mom to hospital for her medical appointment in the afternoon.
Reached around 2pm, as she needed to do some tests before seeing the doctor.
The tests took a while, maybe about half an hour or so.

After that, went to the clinic, and wait.
Can't see doctor immediately after the tests, as they would need to get the report ready.
Thus, have to wait.

So mom took a seat outside the clinic area, then saw a bench.
Walk walk walk ... ... and tadah!

After a while, the Buddha post appeared.

Cool huh?

That's my mother. :P

Heavier Boy

I realised some of the embedded videos in my blog entry, do not get 'published' when the RSS feed into my facebook.
And I don't intend to find alternative means to enable that.
heh heh heh

Well, it's been quite some time since I posted entry. Rather, very few entries for the last 2 months or so.

Busy, and lazy, and busy. :P
Been working everyday actually, sometimes don't know what I am doing also.
heh heh heh
Enough for the grouse.

Anyway, today went for the gynae checkup again.
Had wanted to take a video of the Ultrascan, but somehow I had problem using my digital camera at that point of time.
So this time, no picture, no video. Only memories. :)

Of course, don't expect me to remember.

Well, little Simon is getting bigger.
This time, his estimated weight is about 2.4kg! A hefty 700gram gain from 3 weeks ago.
Now doctor says he is a little above average in terms of weight.
Other than that, everything is good!

Then the next visit will be 2 weeks later.

It's getting nearer, so exciting! :)

Perfect Imperfections

The other day I happened to chance upon a new publications call "Good Paper".
It's a free bi-monthly, bi-lingual newspaper that is devoted to only positive side of news.
It also features insipiration stories of ordinary people, and it comes to you free.

It was in that reading, I read something interesting.
I just sort of remember earlier on, and decided to search for it.

It's from this guy who has quite an interesting blog.

I shall not copy and paste that interesting article, but you can read it from this particular entry from this blog.

Interestingly, there's a video which is quite interesting in there too. It's more touching than intesting actually.


While browsing around, I also saw this video from Yasmin Ahmad, who passed away few months back.
It has a very unique way of expressing love.


I guess we're all imperfect anyway.
So to my wife, don't complain so much. hahaha

Hamsom Boy

This afternoon, it another appointment time with our son. :P
Went for the usual check-up, which is now shortened to once per 3 weeks.
It's 30 weeks and 2 days as of today!
Counting down ... ... ... like counting down to 2010 like that. :P

Of course, nothing is better than hearing the doctor says "Good good good".
And the baby is growing very well!
That's the way ah-ha ah-ha! I like it! Ah-ha ah-ha!

Brought our camera there, but I cannot take any picture or video.
Why?
Because my blur blur wife took out the memory card from the camera, and never put it back.
Obviously I didn't know.

Luckily, this time round, the doctor gave a CD and 1 picture.
It is a still picture of the 4D-picture of baby.
The HAMSOM BOY! :D

Actually, I don't know what 4D he was talking about.
At first I thought he was joking about giving us a 4D number to buy.
And then the picture, how 4D is it?
4th-D to me is time dimension, how to see? hehehe

Anyway, he cut 2 videos for us. It's the 4D-view of the baby.
First one he took, was pretty good.

Then he tried to do a second take, but this time round, the video of it is not so great.


Next appointment time would be 2010 already.
