Good Friday

We've been telling Zyan for past few days that we will bring him out on Friday.
More specifically, the playground at Gardens By The Bay.

Yesterday, we even went out to get a set of cheap sand-play tools for him, so that he can have some fun.

So we left home at 8.45am. Sounds pretty early.

When we reach Gardens By The Bay, the carpark was already like more than half-filled.
Managed to find our way to the Children Playground.

It's pretty big playground, with sand and water play.

First station for Zyan, the sand.
He still does not know how to play sand well with the tools.
Taught him to add water to make the sand more robust for using the mould.
Still, a good learning for him, and get dirty. :D

Then he started to explore the place. Went up the treehouse etc. Wanted to play slides etc.
With his jean-material shorts, a bit tough with the slide.
Kinda weird. See here.

After almost an hour with the sand and playground, it's time to hit the water.
Changed him into his water-play gear.
Told him, and pointed him to where Karinna and I were seated, and to come to us when he needed anything.
Actually, what would he need? :P

From our seat, I took a zoomed picture. Quite a distance actually, and the photo still came out ok.
Using my phone camera.

So it's his fun time again!
More of him playing with the water among the huge crowd.

Then it was time to go. 11am. He had been playing for past 2 hours, almost non-stop.

After cleaning him up, we headed down to Parkway Parade.
Had some coupon for Pastamania, so went there for lunch.

He enjoyed his pizza pretty much, and not forgetting walloping up his mommy's garlic bread.

A wonderful Good Friday morning for him.
And a great place to bring child to. Gardens By The Bay playground.
Just a little tad crowded.
Worth going again. :)

Double Decker

Saturday is usually a marketing day.
Brought Zyan along, but to let him have his hair cut.
He's doing very well with getting hair cut now.

And there he is, happy playing the machine after his hair cut.

I told him that if he behaved well, I will bring him out to take bus.
He's been talking about wanting to take double decker bus since I-don't-know-when.
Today seems like a good day for it. :)

So after lunch, and after sending Karinna to her Toastmaster activities, Zyan and I came back home.
Parked the car, went to pee, then head to the wonder-bus bus-stop. My wonder-bus is Bus 33. :D

Took to Kembangan, then changed to MRT, and we headed towards Expo.
Didn't know where to bring him, thought if there's some exhibition then can just wander around.
Too bad, nothing seemed to be alive at the Expo Halls.

So we went to Changi City Point.

First thing first. McDonald.
What else right?

Thereafter, wandering around again. Went up to level 2, and there's some ride there for kids.
Paid $5 for a ride. He chose Elephant, just pink colour. Hmmm.
Well, he appeared to be enjoying it.

Then we went to the so called Treehouse.
Again, didn't bring another set of clothing, so Zyan couldn't play with the water.
I told him we'll come again the next time round, and will bring extra set of clothing, so that he can run around and enjoy the waters in the area.
He's a good boy, still pretty much enjoyed himself in a dry manner.

I'm not so familiar with the place. Followed direction to Arena. Hmmm.
Interesting place.
Not crowded as well. A group of youngsters seemed to be there trying to rehearse for some dance moves.
Zyan's first move was to run up the stairs, and sat there, and told me: "Take picture!"

Ok. Obligation done. Here:

He vividly remembered us climbing stairs at Disneyland in Hong Kong, when we watched dolphin show.
Kept telling me we walked up and down the stairs in Disney.
Lucky I also can remember, for now. :)

Then it's time to go back home.
We only took single deck bus, and MRT. Not double decker bus yet.

Thus, went back to Expo station.
Coincidentally, my colleague Gigi also brought her family to Changi City Point. Met her while on the MRT platform. Also bus/mrt ride day for her. LOL
Anyway, we took the train, and we alighted at Tanah Merah Station. I don't really need to stop at this station. I can jolly well alighted at Bedok and took Bus 33 home.
Only reason is: Double Decker Bus.

To make my Zyan happy, hop him up onto Double Decker Bus 31 that happened to appear at that time. Cool.
Cheap-thrill boy goes to the upper deck. I followed.
Happy liow.
Kids at this age are still easy to satisfy. :)

So we alighted at Bedok, bought some chwee-kueh, then headed back home.

Throughout the bus and mrt rides, Zyan was using his new concession card.
He tapped the card all by himself, with my instruction and guidance of course.
I think he's proud of himself 'knowing' how to take bus and mrt. Hehehe

Way to go boy!
