X-Ray

This afternoon, left office earlier. Headed to Tampines Polyclinic.

I've been having this occasional pain in my left knee recently.
Most of the time, it's perfectly ok. However, at times, I will experience some tingling pain there, which will always give me some kind of surprise. :O

Can't be exercise injury, as I have not done lots of it anyway.

So to play safe, I decided to consult a doctor, and hopefully get an X-Ray taken.

The polyclinic was not very crowded, but still, since it is a subsidised medical consultation, the crowded is definitely larger than the normal GP clinic.

After telling the doctor my problem with the knee, went to have the X-Ray taken.
It was pretty fast.

Then went back to the doctor for the result.

Result was good. Everything is normal, nothing seems to be abnormal from the X-Ray taken. Everything is perfect with my knee, but I still feel the pain now and then.

I was given some painkillers (quite a fair bit actually!), and Fastum gel to apply and rub on the knee.

See how long this pain is going to stick with me then.
hehehe

Transformers

This morning, we went to Cathay cinema to watch the movie "Transformers - Revenger of the Fallen".

Well, if compared to the recent "Drag me to Hell" show which we watched the other time, this is probably like 20x better. hahaha

Well, Optimus Prime did sufferred a bit in the show, but still managed to get resurrected. Otherwise, how to beat the evil one right? :D

BumbleBee was kinda cute though, and the twin robots definitely provide some comic events.

Anyway, this movie screening for us was complimentary gift from our finance advisor. Their company organised this event to thank their customers like us for giving them support.
They earned some money, we watched a little movie, not a bad deal.

At least, the show is not bad!

Wedding Dinner

This month, I had gone for 2 wedding dinners.

One for my colleague, Wee Chee's, on the 6th of June. Another was yesterday for my cousin's wedding.

Although we don't know this cousin well, and probably most of this part of the relatives, I reckon it is still good to meet them once in a while.
We don't even visit them during Chinese New Year nowadays! Goodness huh!?!?

Anyway, a surprising new auntie, whom I have no recollection at all, appeared at the wedding dinner.
She's my mom's younger sister, who was still uncontactable last month.

My uncle must have been very resourceful to be able to find her. Cool.

Our dinner table only comprises of my siblings and their spouses respectively.
Five of us, x2, and that makes it 10 persons. Plus 2 little toddlers with us.

I didn't bring my camera, but with my limited capabilities of my phone camera, I took a picture of the little Matthew. He has been a little more responsive these days, but still as shy as always.
Casper is forever the hyper one, but he loves to give me flying kisses. hahaha
So here's little Matthew with his parents.

The dinner ended like about 11pm! A little late huh.

By the time reached home, it was like already midnight.
Long night.

Happy 39!

Today is my birthday. 39th birthday.
Oh gosh! The mighty '4' is very close now!

Anyway, went for workshop today.
It's the new tool which SAP is coming up after buying Business Objects.
It's called SAP Business Object Explorer (SBOE).

From the initial look at the tool, definitely a quite different tool from the current BEx.
Then again, don't think it's gonna come cheap to the customers.

Tomorrow still have a 2nd day session on it, but these 2 days are more of a Pre-Sales workshop.
There could be a technical workshop for it some time next month.
That would then be able to see a clearer picture of the features of the tools.

Met up with Karinna after the workshop.
We went to Liang Court, ate at this place called Tampopo.

Funny name right? :D

It's a Japanese food place. Both of us ate ramen, and had a disk of barberque beef.
Overall, the food is pretty good.

Ate until damn full!
*burp*

And I got a prezzie! Yeah!

Henderson Wave

This morning, wake up seven early eight early at six.

Then washed up, and drove to Seah Im.

Met up with a group of friends, then car pool and drove up to Kent Ridge Park.
Why?
This group of people are training up to prepare themselves for some Nepal mountain climbing.
Nope, I am not going to climb mountain.

Anyway, from Kent Ridge Park, walked down to Hort Park, and then went up the bridge and move our way towards Mount Faber.

On the way, sure will pass through the Henderson Wave, which is the high-dangling bridge along Henderson Road there.

The walk is quite alright. Easy to moderate walk.
It's probably about 4-5km in terms of distance.

By the time we reached back Seah Im car park, it's about 9.15am? Nice time for breakfast. hehehe

Didn't take a lot of pictures, just a few while walking.

Armistic Hospital

I had brought my mom to CGH quite many times for her to do the Endoscope procedure.
This morning had to do the same.

Reached there just before 9am. Early bird doesn't have early worms. Still wait wait wait.
Anyway, first, my mom wanted to 'geng' by telling the doctor she still have some cough here and there.
So the doctor ordered another X-Ray to be taken, and also do the blood test to see if there's any possible inflammation happening inside her.

The results all came back ok. So she has to go through the procedure. hahaha
That was around 1045hrs. Not so bad right?

Then waited.
Waited.
Past noon, then they came to bring her into the operating room for the procedure.
Pretty fast actually. Came back within 20 mins.

Results: The past few procedures appear to have smoothen her intestines, less chance of internal bleeding for now. At least not so bad.
And best, this is the first time she didn't need to be admitted in hospital after the procedure. :D

Then waited.
Waited.
2.50pm, asked the nurse can go back or not.
Nurse replied said just gotten the next appointment information, and then delay a bit before downloading all information to me regarding next steps.

OK. Need to do an Ultrasound on Thursday, then some blood test.
Then need to see the doctor at the clinic at end of the month.

Then went to the pharmacy to get medicine.

Got the queue number.
Then waited.
Waited.
4pm. Oooooh. Some medicine not available at that pharmacy. They need to send despatch to get from the other pharmacy.
Whatever.

After taking the medicine, went to the cashier for payment.

Ahhhhhh. Si beh heng siah.
They got problem scanning the barcode. After verifying with whoever, came back to tell me some items cannot be billed together with the Endoscope procedure, and need to pay by cash.
Ahhh. Whatever lah. Just tell me how much to pay, pay money also need to take like half an hour.

Finally can leave the place around 4.30pm ...

Make me feel like in the army ... ...

Movie Drag

This evening, we went to watch a movie.

Karinna's towkay bought some tickets for his staff to watch show. So exciting right?
Guess what?

It's "Drag Me To Hell". How apt?!?

Scary? Hmmm. Not exactly, although there are some scenes that can give you a bit of shock here and there. But that's what horror shows are meant to be.

Funny? ha ha ha. In a way, yes. In most ways, bad humour.

Good story? Definitely.
Nah. Just kidding.

Watch it if you have the extra time, the extra money, and extra sleep required.
:D

Time-Off

It has been some kind of a busy weeks lately.

Has not been updating the blog. Lazy.

Last week, had a few meetings, and met up with friends on Saturday.
And on Saturday night itself, attended my colleague Wee Chee's wedding dinner at HarbourFront.
Sunday, as usual, went for visiting. Maciam Chinese New Year hor. hehehe

Then good lah. My Karinna had some present from the visit. She said the bed bugs clinged onto her, and today she went to see doctor. The bites had been spreading, somehow.

Last 3 days, had been working with a partner to so-called demo a reporting software to a client.
Not exactly very smooth, due to some protocols that hinder us from proceeding well. But overall, still quite ok.

In fact, I had been trying out a few tools lately. Reporting tools. Planning tools.
Try until head a bit big siah.
But not bad lah, at least don't get stucked with SAP all the time.

Oh well, tomorrow another day of moving around.
Morning going to a customer site, then head to another site to help out my colleagues at Jurong, then have to go back office for some discussion with another colleague.

Actually, not so bad lah. Hor?

Prose47 - 天安门

This was written just before my ORD in 1991, for the 2nd anniversay of Tiananmen Square massacre incident in 1989.

It's the 20th anniversary of the incident tomorrow.

======================================================
