Test Water

I finally got my water testing kit! Yesterday evening.

I brought it out with me today to work. Wanted to try it out, as well as show my colleagues the water that we drink.

The place is somewhere at Somerset, our client's office. :P

After our lunch, went back to the desk, and tried it out.
I should have brought along pure distilled water, but forgot.

Anyway, my main aim was to test it myself and see.

I tested 2 glasses of water.
One from tap water from the toilet.
The other from the water dispenser, and I chose the hot water.

First, I did a  TSD meter test on the water.
The tap water reading was 9, and the dispenser water was .... 20!
Wah! POWER!!! NOT!

Then I tried doing the electrolysis test.
Put it on top of the 2 glasses, and waited and waited..... waited and waited.
Then concluded it as faulty, since the rod doesn't even feel warm.
D'uh!

Checked and checked and checked.
ALAMAK!
There's a power on/off switch hidden in a top compartment.
So switched it on, and waited.

Very fast, the water turns colour already.
The glass on the left is tap water, while  the one on the right is the hot water from the water dispenser.

My colleagues Lai and Boby were a little amazed by the changing colours. :P
Somehow, I remembered it actually looked darker than the picture shown here. Not sure why. LOL!

That's why I try to drink more 'clean water' these days.
Still need to figure out how to put the water filter system when I buy it the next time.
Don't know where to put. Sigh.

Who want to test your home water?
Let me know. I very kpoh 1. :P
Hahaha

Honeygar

I've been on my little journey since 09 Sept.

Till date, I am quite happy that I had started that little mission, even though I am not following a strict detox plan to reduce my weight.
Imagine if I had done that. :)
For my own record, I lost 4kg since then.

One of the first things I started is to drink honeygar.
So what is honeygar?

It is just a simple combination of honey and apple cider vinegar with water.
Preferably, using pure raw honey and pure water.

What I do is to add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar into a 1.5L of pure water. Stir it well and have them mixed well together.
This is the specific ones I used.

For ACV, the more common brand is Bragg. I am told it is a little stronger, but if you can take it, I guess it is ok. Anyway, for me, I think we will stick to this particular one that I am recommended. :P

So what is the benefits of honeygar?
Some key benefits of the miracle water honeygar:
  • Promotes effective weight loss
  • Curbs appetite (add flax seeds for better effect)
  • Helps to detox body
  • Prevents heartburn
  • Lowers high blood pressure
  • Lowers cholesterol
  • ... plus more ...
The raw honey that we bought is a 3kg pack. The ACV is quite a normal size, can't remember if it is 750 or 1000ml.
Anyway, it's been 6 weeks since started, and the ACV is just about to be finished, and the raw honey is only about half used.
These 2 cost me just slightly over $100 then.

If you have good water filtering system, then good. If not, a box of a dozen 1.5L pure distilled water costs about 6-8 dollars, depending on the brand you like.
For me, I need to see where is good to place the water filtering system, if I want to replace my current one. :P

Yes. I am promoting honeygar. I share what I learnt.
That's my part for sharing.

To do or not to do, that is the question.

An Incident

Zyan's swimming lesson today was abruptly interruped by lightning.
Then the red siren was rung at Katong Swimming Complex, and everyone has to get out of the pool.

When the siren is activated, it has to wait about 30 minutes and look at the weather condition before the authority opens up the pool for public use again.

We had initiailly wanted to wait. But as you get out of the pool, wet all over, and with the cool weather at that time, it gets a little cold for general, let alone in swimwear.
Then we decided, it is better to take a quick shower and leave. :)

So I brought Zyan to the Gents and get washed up.
After washing Zyan, and getting him clothed up, a very macho guy was standing nearby, keep glaring at where we were occupying, and then slowly he moved to a section besides us. Not sure what he was glaring about, perhaps the wet clothes on the bench.
Then I told Zyan to wait, while I do my quick wash-up.

When I came out, and packing my stuff, that same muscularly-built guy started shouting at someone.
Then I saw he was shouting and scolding at a kid.
At first I thought the kid is with him, so I just ignored it.
He was scold vulgar at the kid with the 4-letter word, and it was very loud.
Something with this "... ... .. you are f***ing ....wet".
His things got wet, perhaps.

Then all of a sudden, the father of the kid realised that man was verbally abusing his little boy.
Of course he went to his son's rescue, and a shouting commotion went on in the toilet.
It was so loud between them, the lifeguards outside also came in after a while.

To me, this psychopathic guy is definitely in the wrong.
What good reason can it be for shouting and scolding so bloody loud at a little kid, especially if it is not your kid.
HELLO!?!?!?!?!?! This is a public pool. What do you expect? Clean and dry?
If so kilat, go buy yourself a pool and swim all you like with no people having any chance to wet your stuff.
Learn to live in harmony with people around you. Goodness!

I must admit, I do shout at my kid, but I don't scold vulgar at him right? LOL.

So that psycho guy did not want to apologise to the little boy, and the boy's father wanted to pursue this further with police.
And the police was then called.

I asked Zyan to go out and look for his mommy, then I went to the boy's father, and volunteered to be a witness if he needs one.
I tried to reason with the psycho also, and he even scolded me.
He flared up and took a book from his bag, and threw down, and claimed we are ignorant Singaporeans.
I recognised that book somehow, but didn't see the title, and forgot what title it might be called.

I can feel that he is very anti-government guy. To be fair, I am not pro-government, but neither am I very anti towards government.
The look on his face is like he has been bullied by us instead! Goodness gracious!
His eyes were even turning a little bloodshot with his angerness within him.
I think if he were to flare up and start a fight, we will be seriously injured.

I took the frightened little boy out of the toilet, to keep him out of sight with such ordeal.
Kept him company for a while until his father came out.

So I passed my contact info to the father, and loitered around for a while before taking Karinna and Zyan back home.
I guess I will text him to see what outcome was it.

Drinking Water

One of the first things I learnt from the nutrition course is about water.

Something so basic, yet there is such vast variations and knowledge into it.

Again, I am not an expert. My nutrition lesson tells me to drink RO (Reverse Osmosis) water. There are other types of water around, Kangen, Alkaline, Distilled, Pure, blahblahblah.

There are even tests to show you how dirty our drinking water is (mainly referring to tap water).

In fact, I do have a water filter system at home. Just have not been servicing it well for the past many years.
I did a water test on my water filter system recently. The reading using TDS Meter is the same as my tap water! How terrible! I have bought the RO Water system. Buying distilled water for now.

There are further test done to ‘see’ the dirtiness of the water. Electrolysis. There are many youtube videos around, here’s one:

There video above does not show about RO Water.

There is also another school of thoughts regarding RO water. The claim is RO Water is acidic, and the water would absorb the minerals from our bodies actually.

There’s also report from WHO about some of the adverse effects of drinking demineralized water. This is the full report about water nutrients: http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/dwq/nutrientsindw/en/
The part of demineralized water is here: http://www.who.int/water_sanitation_health/dwq/nutrientschap12.pdf
Interesting read for some parts, most parts are too chim already. :P

Whatever it is, water appears to be a big area by itself. Oh god!

So for me, I will continue to buy distilled water to make my honeygar. I will still continue to drink my ‘dirty’ tap water. I will do both until I decide at later stage when I find out more about the part for RO water being acidic. Not sure if I will ever find out yet.

Need to read more about water. :)

Soccer Lesson

Weekend for Zyan is getting exciting.
On Saturdays, he had swimming lesson. 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
He has improved a lot actually. Starting to do free style now. But no, he hasn't done the breastroke yet.
I am sure he will get better, and better, and better.

Now, on Sundays (at least for 4 Sundays), he will be attending soccer lessons!
Today is his first lesson at Fandi Ahmad Academy, held at Tampines Safra.

The lesson started at 5.15pm. Went there quite early, just to be sure on time, and I just want to make sure who to check with at the location for him to get started.

Lesson started pretty much on time. They did some warm up, and then break into smaller groups (according to age) for subsequent training.

Boys will be boys.
He simply run around like it's a big playground.
Can you see my boy in action?

How about a little bit of dribbling actions from him?

It's a 90minutes lesson. How tough right?
But nevermind lah. Let him run and play. Would be good for his sleep! :)

I think he's enjoying it. So next 3 weekends, all busy.
So fun so fun!

Everything Nutrition

Yesterday, quite a long day.

Had meeting at 4.30pm. After the meeting, went for coffee with the people, and reach home around 8pm.
Took my usual fast fast dinner, and zoom! Out I go, and went for the Nutrition course.

It's a repeat of the 6 modules course (which I missed the first 3), so I wanted to check out the first 3 episodes.
Yesterday is the first module of it.

It's just an introduction. The emphasis is always on natural food, and mentioning some Doctors who had great contributions to this area.
However, there's one company that is mentioned: Monsanto.

Nope. It is an evil company, that introduced Genetically Modified Organism into our foods.
That's is why our chickens are so fat and strong now. :P
You can watch 1 part of the video here: http://youtu.be/LUpxmZDy7i4

There's full video of it on youtube. It's an hour+ long documentary. I will have to find some time to watch it.

Then I went to look for a friend.
He was sharing some marketing tips with some other people.
I stood and listened, and it's interesting.

Marketing is not my forte, so I am learning along.
The aim is to share this info to interested parties, and hopefully, gain better health in the process.

By the time it ended, it was already past 12 midnight. Cannot take it siah. :P

Then today, after work, and after dinner, and after playing a little with Zyan, I went to try it out.
Just posting the event to see if anyone would sign up.

While the event description is about earning income through it, it is not my aim for now. But of course, if it can, why not? :)
Here's the link: http://bit.ly/UnderstandingNutrition
I am testing it as well.

With the guidance from my friend yesterday, it looks pretty decent.
So fun so fun!

Next week, must make time to attend.
I think it's about reversing cancer.
