Papaya

So how was the celebration for my wife?

Not much actually.

Bought her yet another pendant. Now I feel poor again. AAaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
I think it's quite nice lah. Here's the pendant:

Was deciding whether to get this or the one below:
After much deliberation, chose the first one.
Anyway, the second choice has not stock available for black colour at that time. Only gold/champagne colour available, which looks alright. I prefer the elegance of the black for the pendant. :D

So how? You think the choice is good?
Don't really care about your answer lah. hahaha

So in the evening, went to Vivo City to catch a movie. Movie "881"! Took a quick bite before going into the cinema at 1900hrs.
I think the movie is alright. Lots of dialogues in Hokkien, which can be a little difficult for my wifey to understand. Subtitles are helpful at those times. heheh
The songs are quite nice.
The most famous song of the show? 一人一半!

And the duet version of the song:

DIMP

Hmmm. For the uninitiated, DIMP is not for dimple or what. It's Industry Solution for Discrete Industry - Mills Products from SAP.
Ahhh yes. Jargon for me too. :P
Too chim for most people actually, but this is my blog. I write what I write. :P

Anyway, was asked to help activate the DIMP solution for the ECC system for that Kedah project. Well, it's out of scope for me actually, but because my installations were done pretty fast, I sort of kaypoh and help lah.
Of course, whatever time spent, it's chareageable eh? hehe

Damn long never do these kind of Industry Solutions installations. And nowadays it's quite different from how it was previously. Anyway, took me a quite to check through lots of notes, and hit a few walls, before finally get the chance to activate the DIMP add-on.
Activation is still in progress as of now, not sure the outcome will be postive or negative. Whatever it is, come what may, que sera sera. Ki si lah, si lah.

Orr-mii-tor-hoot.
I will know later. :)

Chicken Out!

Be afraid!
Be very afraid!

The march of the chickens is coming!
hehehe

No lah. My domestic goddess showed her skills yet again today.
Nothing too complicated, just baking chicken wings.

Pretty tasty. Took one piece, coz' didn't make too many pieces.
Don't drool ok!?!?!?!? *wink*

No $$ no talk. Sigh. :D

Back Home

Quite tired to be flying out on Monday and back on Friday every week.

At least, next week should be stationed within Singapore. So can kinda relax for a while.

Still. got to finish up some of the things left undone at Kedah, remotely wherever possible.

Still have to prepare some materials for training next week.

Sleepy .....
ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ...............

Project Site - Kedah

I was in Kedah for the past few days.
This time, the project is purely installations of the SAP systems. Solution Manager, BW, APO and liveCache.
OK with the first 2, but for APO and liveCache, I am also pretty new to them.
Anyway, an installation is an installation is an installation. Just have to do it! :P

The client is a cable manufacturing company. They produce all kinds of cables I guess. Didn't really bother to look much into it, but definitely there are lots of drums in the plant.
Here's a short glimpse:

Also, the small tiny computer room that I worked in:

Park Avenue Hotel

Just reach home about 1.5 hrs ago.

So from Monday till Friday, I was in this place called Sungei Petani, which is in Kedah actually. The nearest airport is in Penang though. The drive from airport to the project site is about an hour, depending on traffic as usual.
The journey would have to travel across the bridge from Penang side. Kinda long bridge. Only 2 lanes per direction. So if there's any traffic jam, good luck.

The hotel where I stayed is Park Avenue Hotel. Sungei Petani is basically a small town, not very touristy. But I kinda like the place. Feels good. Feels a bit like in Australia, just a little more rundown, if you know what I mean.

Not much activities around there. According to the hotel staff, the most HAPPENING place in Sungei Petani is the hotel's lounge. Went there for a drink on the first night with the other guys. Probably less than 10 patrons there. :D

So here's a view of the hotel room. Pretty nice actually. Only complain I have is there is no internet in the room. Only internet is some wifi access at the lobby, and the signal is somehow quite weak too!
Need internet to get some work done while in the hotel room, as the project site's internet is pretty intermittent. Sometimes work well, sometimes just cannot receive my emails! Weird place.

Penang Airport

Now at Penang airport.

Had left the project site around 3:30pm, hoping to be able to change my flight from 9pm to 6pm flight.
Reached here around 4:40pm, and saw a huge crowd checking-in.

So was thinking, 'Die lah! How to get a seat?'
Anyway, just try lor.

So at 5:30pm, went to check the standby queue, and guess what? About 10-20 persons are also trying to get onto the flight via standby queue.
And guess what?
Only 2 managed to get their seats! hehehe

So I have to loiter around this small airport until time to check-in and board the flight.

Coming back to Singapore!

Baby Nephew

Today went to see my new born nephew again.
4-day old today!
So exciting huh?

I took some pictures, and 2 videos of the little boy. I am still not so good with flickr yet, anyway, just storing pictures there. I am not on the way to be a rookie in flickr.com anyway.

So here's the link!

As for the 2 videos, here it is.

Above is a video of sleeping baby.
Next, a video of the crying baby.

Nosy Head

While visiting my mother-in-law at the MediCare Centre yesterday, kinda bored, so took a picture. See below.

Nothing special about it right?

If you notice, there's a strain of 'black line' near Karinna's face in the picture.

That's my nose hair! hehehe
*Roll On Floor Laughing* *Get Up and Roll On Floor Laughing Again*
OK. My warped sense of humour! *bleah*

Too long lah, have to pluck it out! :P

Camera shows my nose hair is as long as her head!

Icing On The Cake

You guessed it?

Another product from the domestic goddess!

Look at these!

This picture was taken when the cake was just taken out of the microwave oven.

This picture was taken after adding icing on the cake, but taken without flashlight, so it is a little dark, and hard to see.

Ahhhhhhh! The finished product taken with flash light on, but a little too bright huh? Just imagine the colour to be more of dark chocolate type, and it probably makes you drool. :P

Anyway, going to bring that to my family side there to eat.

Bread Talks

The bread says: "Eat me! Eat me! Eat me!"

Why? Because the domestic goddess at my home bake bread!
How clever right?

No preservatives! How exciting!

She baked these on Friday night, so we had good breakfast on Saturday morning!
Although a bit chow-da here and there, but it tasted good!

Anyone want to join me for "bread-first"? More to come you know?!?! :D

Live The Dream

After watching the first N-Day Parade held at Marina (on TV lah, not there personally to watch), it's the new show "Live The Dream".

Nothing spectacular actually, but saw an ex-classmate (Jackson Tan) of mine in the show.

Kinda interesting to see familiar faces on the screen.

Verdict: He sang pretty, not well. :P

National Day

It's National Day. It's a new born baby day!

Although I look like 7 months pregnant, but not me lah.
Just gotten a new nephew today! Born 09 Aug 2007 0218hrs. :P
Went to hospital to visit my sister-in-law, of course cannot miss seeing the baby right?
See here!

Didn't bring my digital camera with me, so I used my mobile, thus resolution not so good, but ok enough lah.
These pictures were taken before the baby boy took some milk feedings.
Below is a picture with my brother feeding the baby, and some more pictures after the baby boy has taken his share of milk.
Cute eh? ;)

Jakarta II

Last Monday went back to Jakarta again. This time took Valueair flight. Better than the Garuda flight which I took the last time. Blame it on SQ, always full cannot get flight.

Didn't take much pictures this time round too. Show you how packet food looks like in Jakarta.

The rice is even put into plastic bag, for you to pour out into the packet to eat. Chilli and vegetable is also separated packeted.

The place for the project is at a plant factory. They manufacture motors there.
Took a few pictures of the place there.

If you can see, there are 2 lines of production. This is for finished goods, which is motorcyles. Both line for different colours. At the end of the line, someone will push the motorcyle off the conveyor belt, and another person will test drive the motor for a short distance, about 5-10 meters only.

Another 2 pictures for the finished products in a more presentable form, and another part of the production for the parts of the motorcyles.
This coming Monday have to fly there again. So exciting.
