A Gift for Sale

Hmmmm.

A gift for you?
A pet for sale?

Pretty or not?

That's Sapphire.

Google Singapore

Karinna just told me that Google Singapore website was defaced.
I don't normally use the Singapore website.

So interesting. Not sure which other places get defaced.

新年快乐

送鼠迎牛

牛年来临 一本万利
牛年好运 连连不息
牛市冲天 财洒人间
牛转乾坤 事事顺利

唉! 一点也不押韵!

Whatever it is, hope everything that we do can turn out to have good outcomes!
And most importantly, stay healthy!

Time to lose weight again ...

Anyway, here are some pictures taken yesterday while going around visiting. Actually, only went my brother's house to 拜年 to my parents. :P

Plus in the evening went to vist Karinna's cousin-uncle in Sembawang again.
CNY day essentially means these 2 places only, usually.
Here's the two uncles:

and little cousin-nieces/nephew:

Reunion Dinner

Yesterday evening was a little tiring.

Morning and early afternoon was ok, kinda free actually. Was playing a little bit of game, and reading through some get-rich scams. :P

Then afternoon went to pet shop at Pasir Ris to buy some extended leash. One of our leashes broke the last time when Karinna took the dogs out.
After that, I went to Bedok to pick my father, and then back to Tampines to ferry my mother.

Then there were additional people coming on-board. My mother's friend came along. My mother also brought little Casper.

We had our reunion dinner, with Karinna's side of families, that means her mother and her brother/sister-in-law.
That's about all.

The food was, as expected, quite a lot.
Eat until when you go pang-sai, you can also feel a lot lighter ... ...

Then we have our little rascal Casper. He somehow, is not afraid of my 2 dogs. More like my 2 dogs are afraid of him. Except the occasional barkings which startled Casper, other than that, it's like his noise is the loudest.
Especially when he is happy. :P

And he likes our Magnetic Bike.
See the pictures, I think the third picture is very cute:

As they were about to go home, received a call that said my brother-in-law is hospitalised, probably due to some food poisoning.
Was told that he is otherwise pretty ok, so we didn't go down to the hospital to visit him. Intended to, but had some last minute change in my mother's schedule.
She's a busy woman ok. :D

So later today, I will have to fetch my parents to go temples to pray pray their parents, and then also have to act as a chauffeur for my niece Pauline to visit her father as well as some delivery work.

真歹命!

Time

I think I am sick.

I used to think that I have very good patience.
However, come to think of it, it may not be so apparently.

I'm usually early for my appointments (can't be always early/punctual, else I would have termed myself as saint), and I usually won't complain much for waiting for people.

I've waited for people for more than an hour before. 2 hrs? Maybe, can't remember.
And I am usually at least 10 minutes for my appointments.

I like to think of myself being early such that I will not waste other people's time. So I always try to make myself early for whatever appointment. Be it for business or personal.

Nowadays, when people are late, I tend to get a little agitated. Much more than I used to.
Maybe nowadays I don't have a walkman to keep me company, that's why. :P

Maybe being punctual is not a good thing. Hmmmm.

Time waits for no man.
Man has no time.
Why wait?

I should start playing chess again.

Here's a wonderful classic song, called "Time".

Alan Parsons Project - Time

Time, flowing like a river
Time, beckoning me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river
To the sea
Goodbye my love, Maybe for forever
Goodbye my love, The tide waits for me
Who knows when we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
Till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore
Goodbye my friends, Maybe forever
Goodbye my friends, The stars wait for me
Who knows where we shall meet again
If ever
But time
Keeps flowing like a river (on and on)
To the sea, to the sea
Till it's gone forever
Gone forever
Gone forevermore

Pork Floss Rolls

Yesterday, our friend Georgina and her husband Eugene came by our house to eat lunch.
Ahhh. No lah, not just here to eat lah.

Basically, she and Karinna wanted to do home-made 爱心 pork floss rolls. So challenging right?

So the night before, we went to buy some pohpiah skin, and Georgina brought 2 boxes of pork floss as the main ingredient.

The action started a little after lunch, maybe around 1.15-1.30, doesn't really matter right?
So the 2 ladies take change of rolling the rolls, while I am the one peel the skins layer by layer for them to use.
As for Eugene, quickly ran off after lunch, then no need to be engaged as cheap labour. hehehehe. Nah, he had something on to attend to.

It's not really difficult to do it, just tedious, and perhaps tiring at some point of time.
Here's the 2 ladies in action, plus a dog that wanted to steal a bit of limelight:

The raw pork floss rolls before being deep fried.

In the end, they made about 600+ rolls.

Due to time constraint, didn't deep fry them yesterday.
We had a steamboat dinner at Karinna's cousin home around 7pm, so the pork floss rolls were done finished arount 5.30pm.
Just nice to freshen up a bit and getting ready for steamboat dinner.

Ate until full like mad, plus the first Yu-Sheng taken, although not CNY yet.

This morning, we needed to go out to do something, and when we came back around lunch time (about an hour ago), the prawn rolls are done and ready for consumption!
Ta-dah!!!!

Hmmm. Next question you want to ask: Nice or not?

Come and try. *stupid smile*

Chinatown

Today, went to Chinatown after picking up Karinna.

She wanted to buy some clothings. Cheena clothings.
Whatever lah, afterall, her wardrobe is too messy for me to even want to take a look. Adding another few pieces won't make it any worse. ha ha ha.

Anyway, we took dinner first. Ate at Smith Street, the food street. At that time not so crowded, and they just started putting the tables and chairs along the road where we were sitting.

This is to my right of where I was sitting:

This is to my left of where I was sitting:

After filling the tummies, walked around the festive ground.

Wow! Crowded leh. Although not the CNY's eve crowd, it is still quite a lot of people. Then walk walk walk for about an hour plus also dunno for what. :D

Since she bought some clothes, I added for myself a belt. My current belt is like disintegrating. How exciting!
Keep it for the CNY then. :)

Aibi Magnetic Bike & Gym Ball

Last Saturday, we went to Tampines Mall to look at some exercise gadgets, more specifically, bicycle.

Went to check out OTO and OSIM, didn't really have something which Karinna wanted.
Then went to Parkway Parade and check out at Aibi.

There are more varieties and selections over there. Good.

In the end, we bought a magnetic bike, and a gym ball.

The magnetic bike just arrived today, less than an hour ago.
It's still covered with the plastics here and there, and I will let Karinna do the opening ceremony. She likes cheap thrills like these. heh heh heh.

Here, the gym ball which we brought back on Saturday itself. Somehow, the pump gave us some problem in figuring out how to use it correctly.
Even when I told the delivery people to help me, the way they did it is just as bad as we did it ourselves on Saturday. ha ha ha

We need 2 persons to pump the ball, one to use the pump (and hold on to the connection to make sure the air is able to flow through), and another to help out in ensuring the connection at the ball-end stays intact too!
Can't visualise it? Not important. :P

Little Crap

I supposed quite a huge number of people would have watched the special 5 minutes show on Little Nonya.

I was one of the guilty ones that watched it. I was wondering in the short span of 5 minutes, what can they actually show to have a Yue Niang / Chen Xi reunion ending.

As it turned out, just a waste of time, and ultimate crap to be shown at all.
@!#$%^$%*&&%(&^%$#@%&*&^()*&^%$#^&^*($#^$

Something must be wrong. Maybe to cut cost, MediaCorp should stop wasting time and money on such lousy and useless things.

Again, it's my opinion, which doesn't carry weight.

Anyway, apparently there were already some internet forums blasting the lousy 5 minutes reunion ending show.

Show si mi sai? :P

The Toddlers

Afternoon went to visit my mother. At the same time, pass a 'proposal' which my brother and sister-in-law asked me to draft out for their shop.

Casper was there, but sleeping. After a while, woke up then play with me.
Then Matthew came along with his parents. Another kid for me to play.
So exciting.

See Casper in his pang-sai position:

Ahhhhhh, my hair is still standing. So long already!

Time to do some exercise. 1-2-3-4!

This Casper very kaypoh. I want to take video of him dancing, and keep failing. Even this, he so kaypoh until he ran to me, wanting to see what I was doing with my camera. Sigh.

Artistic Spray

Today, seven early eight early received a call from my father.
He said got people splash paint on the door. I mean, someone had created an interesting artistic impression on the door. It's just that I cannot appreciate it well enough. :P

Anyway, went down around 0930hrs to take a look. Cool. Watch too much TV? Read newspaper? Try to live it yourself. :P

Sigh.

Blame it on the problematic friend which my mother has.

Actually, come to think of it, I wonder how 大耳窿 works. Obviously some identification has to be made correctly, and the loan shark is actually so dumb to lend money to people without checking properly, and then come after wrong people.

It seems to happen so often. How stupid can they be?

If someone has no money, and wants to borrow money, chances are 90% high that they can never pay you back the money. Especially if he is the type that doesn't work hard for money.
Hoping for miracle to happen? Fat hope.

I once lend a friend some money. I knew it is unlikely to be returned, so I don't even bother to have any contact with him anymore.
The target that you lend to, has to be really trusted to know that they will pay you back. How to be make sure that it can be trusted, that's a profound knowledge.

Anyway, police case reported, and they say will update me. But I know the updates will probably just nothing much which they can do about, and probably no updates will be initiated by them even.

We'll see how, and guess when would be the next vandalism. :P

小娘惹

Ahhh!

I think the final episode quite crappy.

I really wonder how 月娘 managed to escaped from the fire unscathed.
I guess she must have some sort of 特异功能 to be able to get out of the fire-hut without any injury.
Perhaps she should be a firewoman helping the people at Santika Pub, Bangkok to escape from the New Year Countdown disaster.

The villians died too easily too.

Simply said. Boring.
Ohhh. More like disappointing.

I didn't really watch a lot, only started watching somewhere before Christmas.

*YAWN*

HouseCall

Earlier this afternoon, Karinna called me and asked me to go home early. Her mother, aka my mother-in-law, was not feeling well.

Said she was feeling very cold, and went to hide in the bed.

So I came home early, reached home around 4pm. Yeah, my mother-in-law didn't look well. Sit on the bed also like damn lethargic, and cannot lie down properly.
I had to lift her up and drag her slowly until her head sits on top of the pillow.

Damn heavy you know. :P

So it appears that she cannot walk to see doctor, then how?

Being internet-savvy, I searched for House Call GP.

So I called, and he came my home about 45mins later. He must be living non-East side then. Miraculously, when the doctor is here, my mother-in-law looks much better, and can talk quite a lot of her medical histories too.
Interesting.

Her blood pressure was a little high, but still ok for her usual standard. Fever was high. 39.2 degrees.
Need to observe the temperature.

So the diagnosis is viral infection, dengue or chikugunya possible but quite low possibility.

As long as she is ok, that's more important lah. So have to monitor next few days especially for the fever.
