Big Ben

We went Big Ben again.
Sometimes need to left alone, so have some quality time together ... :D


Of course, we eat eat eat.
Karinna ordered Chicken Chop. I took 'United Nations' which is basically sausages.

After dinner, we drove to Aloha Loyang and Aloha Changi to check out the place. Loyang side is kinda cramp for the cheaper units. Too expensive to book for the Bungalow type.
Aloha Changi seems good. Was surprised that even for a Thursday, there are quite a number of units booked too! Was more or less expecting the place to be a little more desserted.
Still, the crowd cannot compare with Loyang side.

I think I'll book the Changi side one.
Big is beautiful. ;)

Actually, in my opinion, 'Umbrella' could have been a winner, if it were to be based on some kind of 'maturity' of the song.
'Fever' is better overall, in terms of the ease of feeling the groove of the music, the lyrics, somehow is also fitting the song well.
That's why I go for 'Fever' all along.

Of course, I am talking about S-POP.

Chalet

Today was a little busy day.

Whole morning was running from bank to bank, to deal with some what else, money stuff.

By the time settle the stuff, it's already like 2pm?!?!?!

Think next week have to do 1 more time, but should not need to run from bank to bank already. :P

After that, went for lunch, then came back home and rest.

Then I remembered I wanted to book chalet for June holiday period.

I tried Aloha Loyang. Oh my god!
All not available already for the dates I had in mind. 20-22 June.

What kind of world is this? @#@$^%&&*&()^%$#%^&*

Then I tried checking some Aloha Changi chalets. Some still available, but I have yet to decide if I want to book there. I think it might be better to be there, but not sure if my nephews and nieces like that idea or not.
Think they more used to Aloha Loyang.

Does it really mean have to book just after midnight 3 months before, so that you can actually be among the 'firsts' to book for the chalets?
Crazy!

United Mansion

Today went to Wei Lee's house. She has been 'trying' to invite us to her place since 2 years ago, but never really happened.

Well, it finally did. :P

SookFun, SiangChuan, SockLing, LeeHong plus myself, and our families were there.
Then Karinna and me were wondering what should we bring there, as that family is a vegetarian one. Scared whatever that we bring there, they cannot eat. The guests were not a problem, the hosts can be. hehehe

Anyway, we decided just to get some titbits, as it's more of just gathering people to sit warm her chairs ... :D
So titbits are more for the kids there. Let me count, in total, there were 10 kids!

While talking, they talked about some old graduation book. I just threw mine few months back after clearing some stuff. WeiLee still has it, and these people had fun looking at the old 'toot toot' look they had, hmmm, 20+ years ago.
Lucky I still look cute and hamsom. :)

Some names were mentioned, which some I still do contact, some are lost forever.
One of the names mentioned joined a contest from MediaCorp before, here.

Left around 5pm or so. We went over to Stadium there, supposed to have some sale on Nike stuff. In the end, bought a tennis racket.
Well, I have to bring out all my tennis expert genes soon ... ...

Interview

Today, I had an interview with a pair of twins. Kinda cute huh.

Two young men, graduated from their Masters Degree recently, and looking for job. This pair of twins, attended same schools, took same courses, did almost similar kinda of part time jobs. It's like, die die must do things together like that.
The thought of that also make me cannot tahan siah. hehehe

But I feel that they are pretty eager to learn. Plus their degree courses did teach them some of the technical aspects for SAP BW and ABAP, that will make it easier for us to train them further for project work.
Somemore, twins! Can make customers blur as to who is who! heh heh heh

Considering. Will talk to my other colleagues see how.

Also, we had our so called first Hypercube dinner for all staff. Spouses and significant other and children invited. Most of the people were present, except for two I think.
Dinner was at Great World City, House of Sudanese. Damn full, although I don't think I ate a lot today.

Tomorrow 9am meeting. *yawn*

Surge?

Very weird.

Over the weekend, there was an increase with the number of people browsing my blog.

Not that my blog is interesting or what.
I guess it just happened that people were browsing between blogs, and so happened that hit into mine.

Sometimes I just look at my blog analytic report to see if any one visit at all.

Usually, only a handful. For the past many many months since the inception of my blog, it's usually less than 20 visits per day. Most of the time should be myself and Karinna, maybe a handful of friends who know of my blogsite. :P
Past 2 days more than 40 visits! So cute huh.

Unlikely to last long, but I thought it's an interesting graph.

Pray Go

Today it's our 9th Wedding Anniversary. We were legally married on 09 March 1999. Tomorrow will be the first day of our 10th year.

Hmmm. Hmmm. Hmmm. :P

We had some food voucher previously, when Karinna bought her new mobile phone. It's for the restaurants at Raffles City. So we chose Prego.

Ate one pizza, and one linguine, and ordered a tiramisu as well.

Linguine was almost in my tummy when I remembered to take pictures. Heh heh heh.


Looks nice right? But actually it's not that good lah.
Think the standard at Prego dropped; or rather, we probably have a higher expectation for Prego.
The last time I went Prego was really years and years ago. :P

Then eat halfway, saw my colleague, Hoden. Called to kachiow him, because he was carrying his laptop bag for Sunday lunch!
What to do, one of our partner companies want to see the demo-work done before going to a client tomorrow for demo and presentation.

Anyway, eat until damn full. After that, we just walk around for a while, then went over to Singapore Post Centre. Got some 30% discount for clothings somewhere, so you know huh, women ... :)
I mean ... my wife ... :D

Migration

I changed my company's hosting provider to a new one.

Although not difficult, but very leh cheh.
Had to, of course, inform the current provider of termination, get the new provider to prepare for it, and then also need to tell the domain registrar of the change.
So need to co-ordinate all these 3 parties to get the new site to work correctly.

So the target to switch the domain registrar information was last Friday at 1730hrs.
So that was changed. It can take up to 72 hours for the thing to take effect fully.
DNS server typically will need time to propagate the information through the internet. Once everything is propagated, things will then go back to 'normal'.

So I was monitoring all along. Only yesterday morning, then our website at the new provider can be effected. Sometimes still go to the old provider, but with 'refresh', the link will go to the new provider's site.
Website is not so important to us.

The more important will be the mails.

I kept trying to send email to myself to see if I can receive it at the new provider end. Didn't work until this morning.
At least for me. Can't test for others.
Created a testuser, and send email to testuser. Worked.
I can only presumed it worked then.

Anyway, if they have problem, I am sure I will be asked to help.

At least, the migration looks ok right now for me ... :)

Lego

Just took a picture of closer proximity for the "Lego Building" at my home.

So at least the major work for my particular unit area should be completed, still have the lift itself to be put in. Not sure done or not, coz it's internal, cannot see from here.

After this, they still have to fix up the gaps along the structure, also have to take care of the corridor linkages, and ultimately there should be some painting work for it.

Not sure how long more it will take.
Alas, not that excited for it also. :P

Alive & Kicking

I'm back, alive and kicking! Thanks to my new wireless broadband modem.
Sound damn serious eh? hehehe

So Karinna went to re-contract our broadband, and upgraded it to a higher speed subscription.

When reached home yesterday, had to fix up the internet access, enable the wireless connectivity for our notebooks as well. Checked everything ok, and off we go!
Flying through the space of internet, again.

Flying high high ... like a bird in the sky.
*giggle*

Now the modem is a MIO-box modem. I don't have other mio service. :P

Broadband

Damn suay ok!

Our broadband modem at home broke down on Wednesday night. Do things halfway then it died. Terok.
It happened just at the time when I have to draft some project plan, and wanted to send out some emails. @#!@%^$&^*&^%#@!$%

In the end, draft some plan without sending email out. Then went to customer site, which is the first day of doing a new project, as project manager.
Terok too! Everything in there is not so ready. Have to do vendor evaluation too. Takes time .... headache siah ...

Went back to office at 6+pm, coz I remember we had just replaced our wireless router, so just want to see if it can be used temporary.

Happily unpack it at home, tried to power up. Basiket. No power.
KA NA SAI.

So today have to re-contract our broadband subscription, and get a new wireless modem. Otherwise, whole weekend no need do work (as if ...) :)

If suay again today, then I must go and pray pray already ...

Temasek

I started a new yahoogroup about 2 weeks ago.

It's basically a means to try and gather my secondary school mates, and hopefully, can contact each other through this yahoogroup.

It was left idle, and I only sent an email to a few of them to tell them I created the group. Nothing happened.
Then on Sunday, someone joined.

Then I started inviting those whom I have email addresses.

Then slow, Monday, 2 more joined.

Today, another 2 more joined.

Kinda fun to see it grow slowly ...

I also created 2 databases in the group. One to identify who is who, and another as a contact list, which is the more important point for the group.

How long can it survive? Hard to say ... hehehe

Yesterday was very tiring.

We attended our Level3A of Rekki Tummo lesson. Start from morning 0830 until 1800, and then continued with another Kundalini lesson from 1900 to 2300.

I think by 2200 or so, everyone like zombie already. hehehe

Rekki Tummo is some practice that allow you to be connected to Divine Source such that you can attain higher level of conciousness etc etc.

It's not a religion, else I won't be there. :P
It's a little on spiritual side, I need to attain Enlightenment. Orr-mii-tor-hoot.

So yesterday, we had all our major chakras opened. An additional 8th chakra has been opened as well during yesterday's lesson.
So now there's a lot of divine energy running in me!
Dun pray pray ok! *giggle*

Tonight got 1 more lesson, on meditation. Ahhhh.
