Diet!

These 2 days damn tired.
Wake up darn early coz' need to take bus to Client's office.
A whopping hour reach reach Yio Chu Kang from Tampines!

Yesterday, Karinna bought Don Pie, and one WHOLE big piece.
Wah, think can eat until vomit siah.
Actually, it's kinda tasty lah, and reasonably ok price too. I think.

And to think that last week just went there to buy kueh lapis from there too.
Dunno they got membership or not, or some frequent buyer award. :P

But hey! I have to go on diet!!

The Tays

It's been 1 week since I started this blog.
Somehow, I don't feel exactly very excited nor bored with the bloggings so far.

Also, originally wanted the blog to be name something else, like sk2.blogspot.com or wat, but it was already taken. Same goes with SK-2 and some other similar names.

Why SK-2?

First of all, SiowKow is a reason.
Secondly, my name is Simon, and my wife's name is Karinna.
So 2 reasons for that, and so it's SK-2. Not the cosmetic brand ok?
I don't use cosmetics :P

So in the end, I use my surname "Tay".
We are the "Tays". :P

How crappy.

Baby Shower

Karinna's ex-colleague gave birth to twins abt 1 month back
so we went for the baby shower in the afternoon
rather...it's baby showers...coz it's twins!
and a special one that it's a boy and girl!
cool eh!?!?

after that didn't really do much
went to tampines mall and take a walk
then look out for some mobile phones... .likely to change 1 soon
my current Nokia 6670 seems to be having problem with the '5' key
a bit harder to press these days

Karinna said the Sony Ericsson K618i is a good buy
i so chin chai.... as long as the phone can make phone calls (obvious), and can allow synchronisation between MS Office Outlook for contacts/calendars... i am ok with it
see?? my basic needs is so simple!

maybe tomorrow can go check out how much i can sell for my that dumb 6670
and then can continue with another 2 year plan..... make it swift! :P

Meditation

Went to a meditation class today.
Well, I am not a lesson-person, expected to feel sleepy in class 1.
true enough.... the ZZZZZzzzzzzzzz monster did attack me
but then my immunization seems to have strengthened already :P

come to think of it....maybe it's good to work on meditation
keep mind clear.... cool

not yet lah...so far... only lesson....hasn't really practised yet
maybe go retreat in future?

then they say go retreat can only take 2 meals a day....
so exciting....
i told Karinna she cannot make it
she needs meat 1 hehehhe

see how lah....still too early anyway

Time Zone

ahh finally.... i made the switch of the time zone
at least it shd reflect correct time if anything is posted here

Food!

went to this restaurant at Swan Lake ave or Swan Lake rd lah.....watever
it's called Big Ben. u know...like the dumb clock in london like that
of course my wife Karinna also there lah
actually had dinner with another couple friend lah. Serene and Derrick.
it's at opera estate area.... and inside some small lanes among those rich men's houses
just look out for the Swans running around .....
and becareful of them

had some pies and fish & chips.
price is pretty ok
2 set of fish/chips costs $15.
pie set (1 pie + 1 beer) cost $5
these are promotional items of course
singaporeans mah...promotion only happy liow....
cheap and good is the best...:P

think we had total 5 pie sets!... the pie pretty small in size lah....easily gulped down ur tummy
but the beer...hmmm...thank god we have Derrick! hehehe
just kidding.

so the verdict???
price is good
food quality is erh.....
i not a food gourmet expert lah
but i can be expert in gorging food down my stomach
at least the food were all eaten clean!
overall....a place that can be worth going. :)

Old friend

on the way to work....while waiting at busstop near chinatown waiting for 197 service
a big car horned at me
i think it's a nissan x-trail

a bit blur lah....then the drive wave at me...and point at himself (telling me: it's me!) and smile at me
i hamsom right?? hehehe
an old friend Chin Wee!
looks a bit thinner now than the last time i saw him...or at least from where i was looking.
of course...being in traffic...he has to move on.....and he signal his hands like a phone at his years, obviously say..call me call me
i so smart right?? ;)

then come to think of it.... we knew each other since secondary school time. Yes. Temasek Seconday. he is 1 yr my junior. just happened that we always sit around the same place before lessons start..playing chess etc.... and then knew each other lor
of course...plus the fact that he used to be a child actor... i remember the show Xiao DD, abt a robot lah... other than that cannot remember liow

then happen to meet him again in NUS doing comp sci course... and he happened to be always with a classmate of mine. they are married already as of last i had email correspondence with him...so cool huh? :)

but since he driving...i didn't call him immediately lah.... just send him a SMS
and hor....i dun really like to send SMS 1 ok.... whoever receive SMS from me...
buy 4D...
my SMS is always SNS (short n sweet)

anyway... always good to see old friends....

Maggie mee

today is a little tiring

afternoon attend a POC (proof of concept) presentation for a client....
seems to be a siong project soon siah
wow wow! so exciting

reach home abt 8+
and guess what... my wife waiting for me to come home to cook maggie me

eh... me damn solid cook maggie mee 1
sedap!!!!!!!!!!! :)
hehe... and she watched me cook lah.... have to teach her the art of cooking maggie mee!

very simple right?

1. boil water
2. wait for water to start having a little bubble...
3. throw the mee into the cooking pot
4. wait for the mee to immense a little with the water..and break them slowly
5. as the mee gets a little soaked liow... pour that damn soup base in...and stir lah
6. dun be lazy...keep stirring
7. then the mee looks a bit fat liow.... break an egg into the pot!
8. watch the egg gets a little heat up...and poke the egg-yolk!
9. Stir
10. Stir somemore
11. let the egg cover as much of the mee as possible
12. then turn the fire higher...and watch the bubbles pop up near the rim of the pot
13. turn off the fire
14. serve
15. eat
16. shiok
17. slurp the soup
18. lick the plate
19. wash the utensils
20. go poot poot and pom pom

life is so exciting!

actually a little sleepy now....
especially after washing clothes....*yawn*

Hurray

It has been a long time to decide whether to have a blog or not.
Not that it is some major struggle, just wondering if I will really keep the blogs updated. I am still not sure, but what the heck.

I am an IT professional! So I must try it! :P
