Maiden Trip

Today is a special day.
It's Zyan's first trip out of Singapore.

The last furthest he's been out of home, is to Sentosa late last year.
That time, he was still not steady at walking, needing the stroller more.

This time round, he's able to walk much stable than before. But we still need our stroller, just in case.

We took a cab, and almost reached Habourfront late.
I hate to be late for anything.
Anyway, only late for check-in time, still early enough for boarding and departure.

We're heading to Batam. Too bad, not the best best place to go for his maiden voyage out of town.
Our ferry needs to get to Sekupang, and then onwards to Waterfront City.

Zyan was pretty happy. He like a gong-gia like that, look around the ferry, and walk here walk there, like damn kpoh.
Then he made his way to one of the back row of seats, where it's empty.
He wanted to see outside of the ferry.
He even kissed the window. Siow!

Then he happily run around all over the place, before we reach Waterfront jetty.

The immigration was ok. Not too long a wait.
Once done, the hotel transport was ready for its visitors.
It's just a few minutes drive away from the ferry terminal.
We're staying at Harris.
And, we're staying here for 3 nights.
You see it right. THREE nights.
We're not sure what we are going to do here man. It's a little tard too long!

The resort looks ok. The room is pretty good size actually, and clean.

It was drizzling pretty much the whole day, so we didn't go anywhere, except lazing in our own room, and entertaining our little prince.
He's a big thing to handle.

Had dinner in the cafe. I must say the food is awful, not forgetting that it's charged in SG dollars.
Expected, but then ... ....
Anyway.

Tomorrow, another long day of not knowing what to do.
Perhaps to Nagoya town, the most happening place in Batam.
hahahaha

Shall see.

Robots in Disguise

The movie is out!
But I am not a fan actually. :P

With the movie, there's some toys that come with additional purchase of a KFC meal for a transformer robot.

I didn't want to buy initially.
Then I thought, my son will probably like it, hmmmmmm, in future.
He's too young for it now anyway.
So I bought a meal previously, and then added for the toy purchase.

There are 4 of the small little figurines.
Ironhide, Optimus Prime, Starscream, and Bumblebee.

Optimus Prime was my first collected.
Next was Starscream.
And then, I had problem finding Ironhide. I thought it was sold out island-wide.

I was wrong.

I stumbled across it at the KFC near my working place, so I had to buy it.
And the KFC store also has the stock for Bumblebee, so I bought 2 meals with the 2 figurines added!

So there it is, the collection for Zyan Tay.
Hope he likes it when he's bigger.

Personally, I think Ironhide looks the coolest.

Virgin Class

Yesterday, we brought Zyan to Aquaducks.
Simply speaking, we sent him to his first enrichment lesson: swimming.

Actually, he had a trial class many months ago, and we had to be placed in waiting list to be on weekend class.
Afterall, how to send him for weekday classes right?

So after a long wait, vacancy is available for little Zyan to showcase his swimming motor skills.
Ha ha ha.

We reached there early, 8.45am to be exact. We got a shock when we saw that no one was around, not a single soul.
I mean, hello, it's only 15 minutes away, and no one was there at all?

Had to linger for a while, and finally, some souls start appearing.
Wow! They are really on time.

In a jiffy, suddenly the place became alive!
Little toddlers looking around, taken care by their respective guardians.
And a short while later, all the participants were down in the pool, with either their father or mother.
And the lesson begins!

Probably this stage is to get him to be comfortable with the waters.
Swish swosh swish swosh. Play play. Shiok.

You can see Zyan enjoying the water on his face. Hehehe.

The lesson is not long, toddlers should not be in there too long.
It probably ended in about 30 minutes, and another batch of participants got ready.
Good business man!

Well, till next week!
