It's been a few days since Zyan came back home.
Life has been blissful when we were still at hospital.
Life has been interesting since we came back home. Need to wake up in the middle of the night to feed crying baby.
Need to check baby if he had done his pee or poo.
Well, it is good that we got the confinement lady to come on the day of discharge from hospital.
Otherwise, I think it will be quite a mess at home.
Being a big baby boy, he needs to eat a lot.
Initially, the lactation nurses told us to feed 30ml, then 40ml the next day, and the 50ml the day after.
So we were quite obedient. I think first 2 days still alright, but yesterday and today, I think the amount of milk given to Zyan is not enough.
He keeps wailing for more. :P
Why milk? Because for this big boy, the breast milk currently available is not enough. He needs to be supplemented. haha
So when doing milk-feeds, the nurses say do cup-feeding. This is to simulate the baby to suckle for breastfeeding.
And, more importantly. this task is to be assigned to the Daddy.
So here I am, feeding Zyan whenever I can when he needs milk.

Back Home
Karinna was discharged from Thomson Medical Centre yesterday.
So was Zyan.
Both were doing well, so doctor said can go home.
Although we were expecting to be home only today, it's still ok, and probably better to be at home too. More comfortable yeah?
So I had to call the confinement lady, and told her to come down to our home yesterday, instead of today.
Kinda rush for her, but she still made it at our home at around 6pm.
Alright!
So we were all more or less set, though not quite there yet. ehhehe
After all, both of us also blur like sotong, just go along with it.
Zyan cry, we try to feed him, or check his diapers.
Actually, forgot about the diapers until much later, and shall not describe the scene at the diapers. :P
As for feeding, the intention of breast-feeding is there, but the execution has problem, as the milk factory is not fully functional yet. :D
So while trying to stimulate the factory to operate normal, Zyan has to help his mommy to build the foundation for the milk factory operation.
Meanwhile, his daddy has to use Enfalac A+ and do cup feeding for his baby.
Cup feeding is to be done by daddy, so the lactation consultant says.
It's kinda cool to feed my own baby. He's a greedy boy, and probably due to his size, seems to be always hungry.
He 'chups chups chups' a lot during cup feeding time. Quite funny. hehehe
And mind you, his wailing is mind-boggling as well.
So we have to feed him about every 3-4hours. Had to get up in the middle of the night to cup feed him as well.
Once he's full, he falls asleep almost instantaneously. Wow!
Well, let you guess, is he crying or trying to poo here. :P

Zyan Tay
It's a long day.
Woke up very early today. About 5am.
I always like to make sure I have enough time for appointment. We have our appointment for hospital admission at 0745hrs, so we need to leave our home at about 7am. 2hrs is definitely enough time to take breakfast, do some checks before moving off to parenthood. :P
Of course, we reached on time. Then we went ahead for the observation room, and the doctor came about 8am to give some insertion pill for Karinna to help dilate the cervix. This will help to induce labour.
It helped. The dilation got bigger, and by lunch time, it was about 4cm. Good, so says the doctor.
Then it was waiting game again. But this time, we were move to the delivery room.
As a precaution, epidural is done for Karinna, so that the pain can be reduced significantly. And yes, she proclaimed that it is one of the best inventions ever! :P
By 4.30pm, the dilation was about 8cm. Cool! Doctor said we can be ready by 5.15pm! How exciting!
As 5.15pm came, the nurse came in to check. Not ready she said.
At 5.45pm, she came in, and not ready again.
Karinna tried to push hard, but still, the little boy simply didn't want to come out.
After consulting the doctor, the doctor decided to assist her in getting the baby out. The method used, vacuum.
So all got ready again with the pushing, and vacuum.
As the contractions come, Karinna pushed and pushed.
Took quite a few pushes, and pulls from the vacuum, the baby finally popped his head out to see the world.
The time? 1827hrs.
His weight? A hefty 4.220kg!
His length? Whopping 54cm!
He is a huge baby.
After that, it's spreading the news around.
A new life has begun.
For me, my wife, and my son. :)

Excitable Baby
Yesterday went to visit the gynae again.
It's getting nearer and nearer to the due date, so the appointment is getting shorter between each visit.
It's the usual checkup. Probably the last.
Zyan is now estimated about 3.58kg.
Getting a little big, and the doctor has concerns for him to get even bigger.
Well, valid concerns.
Thus, he suggested admission next Monday for assisted delivery, if it doesn't happen in the next few days.
Woah!!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting!!!!!!!! :D
And yesterday had problem using the camera again. I remembered shooting the video of the ultrascan, but it came out totally different. Appears to be shooting at the floor.
ha ha ha
Not sure what happen.
Other than big, Zyan is all good!
And yes, he's very excited too. Mommy's complaining of him twisting and rubbing her belly from within, too much. hahaha
It's good that he didn't want to come out on first day of CNY. :)

Tiger
The Tiger has arrived.
What have you done to welcome the Tiger?
Anyway, according to the astrology information given to me, the year of Tiger is not so good for me.
Luck and fortune etc seems to be not on my side.
However, there's a mirror star along my path, which can help me mirror the bad to good and good to bad!
hehehe
At between 6-7pm, went to do a simple ceremony. That is, face towards SE direction, and did simple 6-3-6 breathing. Breathe in for 6 seconds, then hold for 3 seconds, and breathe out for 6 seconds. :)
The numbers supposed to represent Heaven/Human/Earth.
Also, for people like me who are born in year of the dog, need to do some extra things to help to make the year smoother. :P
Need a black or blue calendar. Bought a 5-Dynasty coin previously, and paste this on the front cover hf the calendar. Then just write something and start using the calendar.
OK. So the simple rituals are done now.
Time to buy TOTO. :)
