Nope. I didn't go to cinema to watch movie.

For the month of February, Starhub is providing preview channel for its available channels.

Today, the preview is mainly on movie channel. Not HBO, but the movie channel that shows mainly chinese movies.

Of course, don't expect the latest latest movies. Some of the movies shown were just few years old. Some were like over 10 or 20 years ago.
But since it's free, watch for the fun of watching.

Went to Geylang earlier to buy fruits. In particular, mangoesteen, my mother-in-law want to eat. Of course, Karinna WANTS to eat too! hehe
Being the colourful place in Singapore, seems like many things to see there. But no lah, we didn't really walk much around that area.

Nowadays weekends suck! All the shows on TV are pretty boring. And the movie channel apparently is showing something which doesn't interest us.

Quiet day

Yesterday was a quiet day.
Didn't really have any plan to go anywhere.

Anyway, as usual I am always on second level support duty on Saturdays.
Was fine until about 3+pm that I have to take a look onto the problem reported.

Not really a major one, just need to take some time for the data to be loaded correctly.
In the end, it looks like it is going smooth, so I left it to my colleague to continue the work.

Then went to see my mother-in-law at Econ.
No place to sit, so I have to sit outside reading newspaper. I really just go and "SEE" her.
See and sit down elsewhere. hahaha

Then went for the meditation lesson. Last lesson. This time talks about some preparation needed prior to going to retreat. Next retreat is from Mar13 to Mar22, can't really go. Too close to my Japan trip.

Then went to Cold Storage at Katong Mall. It's 24 hrs!
By the time reach home, already 1130pm.

Just to check to make sure the things were done ok in the afternoon, went to check customers' system to see how the monitoring went during the day.
Seems good.

CNY Dinner

Last Friday, we had our sort of annual CNY dinner with our group of friends.

We went to this place Ming Kee Live Seafood at MacPherson Road area.
Karinna and I went there before, she likes the crab there, so take this opportunity to eat again lah. Simple right? hehe

We reached there earliest. The rest were not so sure of the place, but they were not very late either. Not so bad.

We ordered about 8 dishes I think, excluding the Yu Sheng. Anyway, the Yu Sheng was no good. :P Nothing missed.
The mussles was good. Frog leg with essense chicken is not bad. Vege with 3 different kind of eggs is delicious. Deer meat was ok. Of course, the main attraction crab with bee hoon has to be good.
But I didn't eat the crab. Too troublesome. heheh

Georgina was back from US for the CNY. Seems to be having a relaxing life style there.
Eugene had an exciting time with his luncheon meat during one of his maggie mee cooking. Got a deep cut on his finger, which was already healed when we met.
Wee Boon, coincidentally also his birthday on that day, was 'forced' to treat for dinner, which of course didn't happen.
Christina, was trying to describe some fruits from Taiwan which we seldom see here, and said she will bring some to Singapore the next time she goes back Taiwan. I don't know those fruits, anyway, I am bad with fruits.
Mike, as usual, the silent participant, and I don't think he said more than 10 sentences througout! We are used to it anyway.
Cheryl, the only person that hears Mike talk a lot, is changing job scope. Cool. As long as it is better, or if what someone wanted, why not?
Calvin, the mahjong king, seems to be happy with his new working environment.

All in all, the dinner was good.
Then we moved on to Siglap area, had a drink at Coffee Club. Then we had a short discussion about whether we should pay carpark or not. Reason? The carpark only had information about paying parking from morning to 10pm.
Does it mean that there is no need to tear carpark coupon after 10pm?
To play it safe, we did. Only 1 of us didn't. hehehe.

SAP

Last week my colleague was installing the SAP IDES SEM60/BI70 system. Somehow, it failed a few times.
I took over the installation as he was going back to Indonesia for the CNY.

It failed again, and I re-started everything again last Friday, before the CNY holidays.

The progress was slow somehow, and it finished only on the 2nd day of CNY if I remember right.

Well, nowadays SAP system are so confusing. It has Enterprise Portal within it, and somehow, it wasn't working correctly.
The system itself is working fine, I can login into the system and do most of the BI stuff.
But things related to the portal just doesn't seem to work correctly.

These portal things are looking like nightmare nowadays. Guess I need to sit down and think carefully over the configurations. I know how to do some workarounds, but hey, I don't expect everyone to do workarounds manually everytime when trying to access that Portal thingy!

Anyway, not very free today to continue troubleshooting that.
Have a proposal to complete by today or early tomorrow morning.

Life is getting exciting ...

CNY

Gong Xi Fa Cai !!!

Today is 4th day of CNY already.
Also the day to start work now.
Hopefully, this year will be better,
And future years would be better than its previous years too! hehehe
