Everything Nutrition

Yesterday, quite a long day.

Had meeting at 4.30pm. After the meeting, went for coffee with the people, and reach home around 8pm.
Took my usual fast fast dinner, and zoom! Out I go, and went for the Nutrition course.

It's a repeat of the 6 modules course (which I missed the first 3), so I wanted to check out the first 3 episodes.
Yesterday is the first module of it.

It's just an introduction. The emphasis is always on natural food, and mentioning some Doctors who had great contributions to this area.
However, there's one company that is mentioned: Monsanto.

Nope. It is an evil company, that introduced Genetically Modified Organism into our foods.
That's is why our chickens are so fat and strong now. :P
You can watch 1 part of the video here: http://youtu.be/LUpxmZDy7i4

There's full video of it on youtube. It's an hour+ long documentary. I will have to find some time to watch it.

Then I went to look for a friend.
He was sharing some marketing tips with some other people.
I stood and listened, and it's interesting.

Marketing is not my forte, so I am learning along.
The aim is to share this info to interested parties, and hopefully, gain better health in the process.

By the time it ended, it was already past 12 midnight. Cannot take it siah. :P

Then today, after work, and after dinner, and after playing a little with Zyan, I went to try it out.
Just posting the event to see if anyone would sign up.

While the event description is about earning income through it, it is not my aim for now. But of course, if it can, why not? :)
Here's the link: http://bit.ly/UnderstandingNutrition
I am testing it as well.

With the guidance from my friend yesterday, it looks pretty decent.
So fun so fun!

Next week, must make time to attend.
I think it's about reversing cancer.

Straits Times Run

We went to the ST Run 2014 this morning.

Took the wonder bus service 33, and alighted just outside stadium.
Just a short walk from the starting point. Cool.
The last walk we did was organised by Kembangang CC, few weeks back.

As we stroll to the starting line, took some pictures of the new stadium.

Can only show the fresh look. Cannot show any picture after the walk. LOL.
Ohh! My double chin! :P

We only chose the 5km Fun Run. We didn't run, just doing brisk walk.

It's mainly just walking from stadium, towards Suntec and back.
Walking on Nicoll Highway. Nice.

I think it took us about 50 minutes to finish the 5km walk.
My big princess looked very tired from around 2.5km mark already. But she made it! Yeah!

At the finishing line, we were given another commerative t-shirt, bottle of distilled water, a can of 100-plus, and a banana!
So healthy right! hehehe

The previous walk to went, gave us nasi lemak after the walk. LOL.So funny.

Anyway, we rested a while at the stadium, then kpo around to see people dance zumba, and then left for our breakfast at old airport road before coming back home.

Well, I must say, it's good to walk. :)

GlucosCare Tea

My weight is still about the same.
What have I done wrong?

Many things.

Like I said earlier, I only stick mainly to drinking Honeygar.
Perhaps that is not good enough, and I do think so, not because of Honeygar itself, but because I still eat some 'unheathy' food.
That shows I am not determined enough yet, not diligent enough yet, and not disciplined enough yet, to follow the regime of Full Tummy Detox.
Hmmm. What should I do?

Well, this is my little journey, my own choice of path, and ultimately food.
Blame no one, but myself.

Below is a 10-days peek into what I ate. It is not in full detail of course, but a guide for me to note what I ate for the past many days.
See, to prevent my dad from eating too much mooncakes, I have to gobble some down myself. Plus, there's wedding dinner and some gathering with friends, which would technically add more 'food' to my tummy.
Excuses excuses! :P

Anyway, today's main point here is to introduce this thing called GlucosCare Tea.

This was shared by Alan during the gathering session on 12 September. He's a health buff. Very fit guy.
He recommended this to many people. thus shared this during the gathering.
The main purpose of the tea is to 'block sugar intake', thus reducing the bad consequences of having too much sugar in our body.
His waistline dropped a further couple of inches with the tea, within 2-3 months!

Therefore, I bought a box of it, and started drinking it once a day since last week.
I bought it at Unity, but I think Watson or Guardian might have it as well.
You can try it out too. It's not very expensive. About $30+/- per box for 50/60 sachets.

And if you have tried, and it also produced results for you, let me know. I think some of this statistics would be good for people to know.

As you can see, it's only 2 weeks, and based on what I eat, the result is not good, yet.
I will still update my food intake, and check my weight occasionally, to see how it progress.
It will be interesting to know.

Slowly, and steady. One little baby step at a time.
I am just a baby ... :)

Good Milk

Recently, I attended some nutrition course conducted by Suria Mohd.
She's a nutritionist celebrity, also a very hardworking and super smart lady.

The course was 6 sessions, each about 3 hours long, and over a period of 6 weeks. All held in the evenings of course.

I can't remember why I did not attend the first 3 lessons. I only attended the 4th to 6th sessions.
Session 4 was Full Tummy Detox; which was what led me to start drinking Honeygar, and plus some other stuff.
Session 5 was about Kids Nutrition, what is good for kids of different ages.
Session 6 was aout anti-aging.

Like most people, I know nuts about nutrition.
Tasty food, awful food, just eat.
Healthy food, junk food, don't know, just eat.
Generally, most of what we eat, are not 'good food'.

One thing that I remember from the sessions:
We don't need food. We need nutrients.

It takes time to stop eating the food that we are so used to eating nowadays.
So I will have to see when I will make a fuller switch to a more complete Full Tummy Detox.
My tummy is pretty big you know. Pretty big means very pretty. :D

In this post, I am more interested in sharing one thing.
Milk.

This was shared during Session 5, for kids nutrition.
The concept of 'Happy Cow' and 'Sad Cow' was brought up, and it is true that most cows would be subjected to various forms of injection to quicken the process of milking.
Most of the milk bought from the supermarket, are generally products from such 'Sad Cows'.

Then how?
I need to give my son 'good milk' to drink.
I couldn't catch what she said during the session, except it's only available in Mustafa, and there are 2 packaging. Blue for full cream, and pink for skimmed milk. The better choice is pink packaging.

Then I happened to be able to pass by Mustafa the other day, dropped in quick, and did a search for it.
When I found something similar, I did a search on the net, and true enough, this is the brand.
Fred & Chloe.

Never head before leh.
Checked the label. Product of Germany. Hmmmm. Interesting.
Nevertheless, bought 3 packets of it.
It's not expensive, in case you think it is.
It's $2/pkt. It was labeled as promotional price, but I think usually price won't be too far off from it as well.

Thus, would you like to buy 'better' milk for your family?
I am not selling, go and buy yourself and try. :D
But if you need help, can always ping me.

I will slowly share some of the tips I have.

At the end of it, I think it will all boil down to 3 D's.
Whether if I am Determined to be Diligent enough to enforce Discipline to follow the diet program with consistent effort.
祝福我吧!

Little Journey

On the 9th Sept 2014, I started my little journey to reduce my weight.
All for the good of my family. Healthy weight can lead to healthier me, and will bring out a much happier family. :)

I am by no means an expert. Thus, I listened to some advice from nutritionist, and try to follow the detox program.
Again, being a greedy food eater, it’s tough to stick totally to the detox program. Yes. I am lazy. Hoping things will work out the way even if I don’t work hard for it.
Who doesn’t want that right?

Thus, to make it simple, I only started with Honeygar.
It’s supposed to loosen the fats in our bodies, and also alkalizes our bodies at the same time. Alkalization is what we need, according to the experts.

Thus, the journey began … …

Flag Down

Following the Flag Up done last month, it is time to dismantle the flags although not end of the month yet.
Somehow, next week the relevant parties are not free, so the activity is brought foward to this week.
Very smart. I volunteered again.
Hooray!

So I met up with Koh at the CC at 10am.
This time round, only 2 of us. *cringe*
Ah yes. Just the two of us. Romantic right?

Dismantling is a lot more simpler than setting up. Just knock knock a little when needed, pulled the flag pole, rolled it up, threw onto the trolley, pulled out the metal holder, cut the wiring as needed. Go next.
Bang bang bang bang.

As the trolley is a small one, we needed to make 2 trips to collect back all the flags.
Still, it took a whopping 2 hours to complete the task.

Once back to the CC with all the flags, it back to keeping the things in order, and dumping into the store room, perhaps for next year.
NEXT YEAR?!?!?!?!??!
*jaw drop*
Holy papa! Holy mama! Halleluyah! Orr mi tor hoot ah!
Next year then say. :P

See the commander working hard in tidying the things around:

At the end of it, exhausted.
Si beh tired siah.

Headed back home for lunch after that.
I needed a rest. :D

Joel Bauer

I didn't know this person until yesterday.

We happened to be at some event, and a guy seated next to us mentioned about this Joel Bauer.
Then Karinna searched, and happened to find the free seminar that was held yesterday and today at Singapore Expo.
So we registered for it.

As usual, all such events typical take a whole day.
It started yesterday at 9am, and today at 7.30am, and ended around 6pm on both days.

So who is this guy?
Mentors' Mentor.
Cool or cool?

The way he conducted his seminar is so different.
No big hooha around, just speaking and teaching.

Of course, at the end of the 2 days, there has to be something more that he offers for all the audiences.
The amount is actually pretty high.
But he added a 'guarantee' to your success if you take action.

Every seminar pitch is about taking action. :)

But, for the 2 days of free training, I think he provided a lot of content.
If actually using his methodology and process, it is very workable, I think.

There are some takeaways from the 2 days that I probably will have to start working on as well.
There will hopefully be some change and progression that comes along the way.
And it is one seminar, that I actually wrote down lots of notes, and easily used up a few small stacks of foolscap papers along the way.

Nothing but writing and writing.
And he will be sending more 'gifts' via email too.
Gotto wait and see.

He's coming again in November.
Will definitely sign up for the 2 days again.
Worth it.
