Canon 550D

It's been sometime since I last posted an entry for my blog.
Anyway, no one really read it, so it is fine.
It's after all, meant for me to anyhow write things, when I want to.

So Zyan has come into our life for 4months plus.

Of course, he has grown, and it has been quite an interesting experience so far.
Parenthood is a new phase. Cool.

Since his birth, we had been taking pictures for him pretty often.
This can then be shown to the little boy when he gets older. To let him see for himself in future how he looked when he was younger.

Being baby, he has lots of movements somehow.
Our current idiot-compact-camera is apparently not good enough to capture the moments correctly without blurring the effect.
Karinna then wanted to buy a DSLR camera, so that she can take more and clearer pictures for the little boy.

Was contemplating between Nikon D90 and Canon 550D. Recently saw Panasonic G10 as well, which is the newer whatever Four-Third technology camera.

After she did some research, and price check, she more or less know what she wants to buy.
So we went down to Funan Centre today, went to the shop that gave the best pricing.

Learnt some stuff from the sales guy, paid the money, and home we came with the product:
Canon 550D.

So the pictures for Zyan, are now expected to be more smooth, and hopefully a lot clear.

Good for you Zyan!
You're now on candid camera!

李寿全 - 张三的歌

I was thinking of a particular song recently.
Very beautiful lyrics, and accompanied with its nice tune, it's simple a classic from the 80s.

Hmmmm. 智元, 爸爸会带你到处去飞翔.

I think I watched the movie, thought not sure why I watched the movie though. It's not one of those popular shows you know. :P

Well, it's hard to find the original MTV for the song, and the only one that I found with its original singer is this:

The song excerpt from the movie, if it means anything at all:

But I think an interesting one would be the following, which features the original singer singing with his daughter.
Very cute.

======================================================

Vaccinated Baby

He was born 4.220kg. Today, he is 8.040kg.

It's 3 months for Zyan now. At 3 months, he has to undergo another set of vaccinations.
This time, he needs to take so many of it, that I don't know what are those also.
My capable wife will just know about it.

We made an appointment at 1030am. However, only managed to see the doctor only near 11am.
Sometimes, you wonder what is the point of making appointments.
But half an hour, I am still ok with it. Afterall, clinic for children will tend to be a little more crowded, and patience needs to be practised with the little kiddies.

So what did Zyan have today?
A fluid vaccination, and 2 jabs!

Anything to be eaten, it's not a problem for him. He's on the 97th percentile in terms of weight/height blahblahblah.
Then comes the jabs.

First jab goes to his right thigh. Once the needle pokes through, the sound of music from Zyan Musical Factory starts playing.
Very swiftly, the doctor switch to his left thigh, and insert the needle for his second jab.
More music for our ears ... ...

Good thing is, the music lasted not very long. Not so bad.

I guess he was very tired at that time also, was about his sleeping time.
Good timing perhaps!

After that, sent them home. Doctor says he might have fever today due to the jabs, so need to monitor etc.
Oh well, life goes on.

Then off I went for work.
When I got home, the little rascal is very energetic.
I was tired, and he perked me up, and I felt fresher after playing with him.
hehehe

That's the picture taken of him just before dinner today.
The 8.04kg baby.

Hope his fever won't appear.
Next vaccination is 1 month away.
Music, music, music.

Photo Taking

I felt very tired today.
Woke up at about 6, because Zyan was making noises, so need to sooth him a bit.
At close to 7am, brought him out and pass him for others to take care of him.
Went back to sleep till almost 10!
I seldom wake up so late. :D

At about 11, I decided to go back and nap. Zzzzz till lunch.
And guess what, at 2+pm, went back to sleep again.

Karinna woke me up at 4pm, as we wanted to bring Zyan out.
She wants to have pictures taken with the baby at least once a month. I mean have pictures taken with Zyan, and not just of Zyan, and by that, at least have more proper dressing for the picture taken.
Whatever, fine with me.

Left home only around 5pm, as Zyan poo-ED at that time.

Anyway, so we went to Changi Beach area. It was pretty crowded.
We just took a walk around the place, and have some pictures taken.
Captured a plane that is going to lang at Changi Airport.

Karinna and Zyan

Click on the picture to see a few more of the pictures taken at Changi Beach.

But Zyan was pretty tired and sleepy, as it was supposed to be his sleeping time. We just dragged him out by force.
He doesn't have much choice does he? hehehe

Well, wondering where to go the next time round?
For his 4th month official photo taking. :D

Growing Baby

Time flies.
Zyan is already 2months plus now. Next week, he will be 3months old.

Life has been pretty interesting since his arrival, not to mention the topsy-turvy schedule with him around.

It has been pretty much the same everyday.
The day can start as early as 1am, for his night feed. His appetite varies, sometimes he needs 2 nightfeeds.
Usually he will wake up about 5+am to play, and won't want to sleep until almost 7am.
No prize for guess who is his playmate though.

Then it would be time for work.

Work has been pretty hectic for the past few months. It's slightly better for last 2 weeks, but I guess things would pick up again soon.

When back home after work, it's to entertain him around when he's awake, and feed him when he's hungry.
But the joy of entertaining him is simply wonderful. :)
Especially when he throws that mega-watt smile at you. Awwwww...

And then the cycle continues after his last feed before he sleeps.
So that's what they do; eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep, poo, eat, play sleep
He's getting big.

We haven't really brought him out that much yet.
Mostly is to go to the PD for his scheduled jabs, or go see doctor when he's sick. Lately, we bring him for baby massage, to help him clear the winds within his tummy, and that he can sleep better, so that we can sleep better! :P

The only time we really brought him out was early this month. Brought him to Simei Eastpoint Green for a walk.
We also one kind, didn't bring the stroller along, so we had to lug the 7kg boy around the places.
Training up our muscles.

That's the only picture taken during that outing.

Of course, the other place would be to visit my mother during the recent Mothers' Day, so that the little boy can enjoy the companies of all the other uncles/aunties, and lots of other cousins.

See? My mother makes funny faces, so Zyan had to do the same in the other direction!

More recent pictures here:

Well, when he gets bigger, there'll be more places to visit.

Phone Ring

Early this morning, my mobile phone rings. I answered.
Hmmm. 4.30am.

Not really good to receive phone calls in the middle of the night.

My mom was on the other line. She said she's in hospital, and feeling very uncomfortable on her tummy.
As usual, her tone would be like, hmmm..... how shall I describe that, very uncomfortable. hehehe

She told me to go to hospital to look for her, and before doing that, go to her place and take her medicine, so that the doctor can have a look at her current medicine prescribed.

Oh well, of course kanjiong right? Midnight calls.
So I went to my brother's place. Call his home, no one answered. Call his mobile, never pick up. I mean, who would want to pick up calls in middle of night?
Just me? :P

What to do? I have to 'break into' his home. Details of it shall not be mentioned!
heh heh heh.

So I brought the medicine to hospital, took a while to find her.
At that time, just nice the doctor was around.

It seems like she had some bad stomach for the past 2 days, and decided that it is severe enough to go hospital in the middle of the night.
They gave her some jabs, and needed to do some X-ray just to check.
So she was left under observation for a few hours, while I, don't know what to do, went around looking for food for breakfast.

It was only close to 8am, that my mom called, and said she can go home.

So all is well, and I drove her home, and then back to see my little Zyan.

At least, last night was one night that both my mother and Zyan disturbed me for my sleep. :P
