Zyan's Maiden Walk

This morning, went for the "Walk For Rice" event.
Reached Kampong Ubi CC around 8.15am. Brought 2 tickets. Zyan and myself.

My NC chairman already there, helping out with some of the logistics.
Helped to bring some of the drinking water for the participants up to the coach.
Not so bad. Bottle of water + banana for breakfast.

Coach left the CC, then headed towards Marina Bay Sands.
Took a group photo, and then the walk began.

It's a simple route, along the river bay, and go all the way to Marina Barrage.
it is quite a pleasant walk, except that the sun was a little strong.
Forgot to bring a cap for Zyan, kept nagging to me he was very hot. :P
Luckily, had a pack of gummy bear to distract him. :P

Not too bad, he managed to walk without getting me to carry him along the way.
*phew*

Took some pictures at the Marina Barrage area. Nice scenary.
Also, there are many activities happening.
There's a 24 hours non-stop run, seeing some youngsters kept running up and down the path.
There were people playing the giant air ball at Marina Barrage area.
Quite a cool scene for a hot Saturday morning. :)

Selfie taken with Zyan, and scenary shot:

After resting a while, the group proceeded to walk back to Marina Bay Sands.

Along the way, one of the NC member walked past us, carrying bottles of water for the participants.
I made Zyan helped to carry 1 packet.
He's very helpful, and showed me his muscle-man post to say he is very strong.
Ok. So let him carry 1 pack. Hehehe
He has to start his grassroots work also. Hahaha!

Of course, he didn't carry all the way, but already quite a good distance for his age/size and the pack of water weight.

Finally, reached back the starting point area. Took some pictures as well.
Looks nice with the pond of flowers and buildings in the background.

At the end point, Zyan being the active boy, still kept running around the place. Walk here walk there, just cannot sit very still.
Left him to do what he wanted to do, and I just sat there wan watch him roaming around the place, while waiting for everyone to gather back at the end point.

Lunch is provided. Each gets a pack of rice with vegetables, hard-boiled egg with chilli, fish fillet, and fish cake. Very good for a $2 ticket!

I think it is a good thing to do, walking for charity, and having a bonding time with my son.
Shall see what is the next event to attend to. :)
